DARBYWOOD AIREDALES
DarbywooD Beginnings.......

DarbywooD is named after our first Airedale, Moraine Ragtime Princess, CD, (Darby) who introduced us to the fun-loving temperament of the Airedale Terrier and started us on the road of breeding and showing Airedales. I trained and showed Darby in the Obedience ring where she easily obtained her CD title in 3 shows with scores all above 190.
Although Darby was never bred, all the Darbywood Airedales are a lasting tribute to her legacy.
CH. Moraine Britelites N’ Promises also came to us from Mareth Kipp of Moraine Airedales. Whitney went on to become our first AKC conformation champion and the DarbywooD foundation bitch. She was handled to her title by the late Terrier icon, George Ward.
It is to her that all the DarbywooD kids owe their beginnings.
A huge “Thank You” is owed to Mareth Kipp for her excellent mentoring and consistent encouragement to show and produce quality Airedales.
DarbywooD has recently finished our 40th champion as we continue to strive to produce quality Airedales with true terrier temperament for family companions as well as the show ring. Member of The Airedale Terrier Club of America (Past and current Board Member), Wisconsin Airedale Terrier Club, and Badger Kennel Club (past Board Member).
